Children in Catholic Charities’ CYO Summer Program recently enjoyed a full day of outdoor fun as they participated in the program’s game day. The children enjoyed a picnic lunch and a variety of games including relay races, balloon toss and other water games as they experienced the principles of working together and playing cooperatively.
This summer, Great Bear Recreational Area has the opportunity to have a group from the Oswego County Youth Conservation Corps working on trail repairs and maintenance, building bridges and doing other environmental projects.
The ranks of Oswego County’s Youth Court could swell by nearly two dozen soon. Teens from across the county are taking part in YC training this week. Youth Court is a recognized community diversion program aimed at keeping young offenders out of Family Court.
An attempt by the Oswego City-County Youth Bureau and the Oswego YMCA to set a new world record for the largest Uno card game came up short. Approximately 200 players took part.
