For Rick Wilson, the pet business is sort of a homecoming. For the past couple of months, he and his girlfriend, Jennifer Seabury, have operated The Pet Store at 388 W. First St., across from the Oswego Post Office, in the former Glider Oil site.
Members of the Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce celebrated the grand opening of the newly remodeled Onondaga Flooring showroom in Fulton.
It was a celebration of reading for Fitzhugh Park Elementary School third and fourth graders as the recent school year neared an end.
Activity is slated to begin this week to remove asbestos at the site of the former Thrift Store and More at West Second and Broadway in Fulton. The building was damaged in November 2007 when a neighboring structure collapsed. According to city officials, the remains of the building will be gone by mid-October.
