Frosty to Appear at Hannibal Library’s Festival of Trees
The 4th Annual Festival of Trees, a silent auction hosted by the Hannibal Free Library, will include a special category of trees and wreaths decorated in the theme of “Frosty the Snowman.†The event takes place at the Library/Community Center on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

GRB Plans ‘Financial Aid Night’
On Monday, December 8 at 7 p.m., in the high school auditorium, the Guidance Department of G. Ray Bodley High School in the Fulton City School District will again host their annual “Financial Aid Night†for students and their parents or guardians.

Sheriff Advises Caution When Using ATMs During Holiday Season
With the holidays approaching, the use of ATM cards will increase. At the same time, cash-generating crimes such as burglary, robbery and mugging, historically increase during the holidays. Sheriff Reuel Todd offers several suggestions for those using ATM machines this holiday season.

Chicken & Biscuit Dinner Planned Sunday
Our Lady of the Rosary Church will host a family-style chicken and biscuit dinner Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. The dinner will be held at the church at 923 Cayuga St., Hannibal. Take-outs will be available.

Hannibal Group Plans Breakfast With Santa
The Hannibal Fire Company Auxiliary will host a breakfast with Santa Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon at the Hannibal Fire Barn on Oswego Street. Santa is expected to arrive at 9 a.m.

Northeast Biofuels Experiencing Production Delays; Addressing Performance
Ethanol production is at a temporary standstill at Northeast Biofuels as the company works out performance-related issues at the plant with its contractor, Lurgi PSI, Inc. The plant has experienced several production outages since the initial startup, according to plant manager Brian Roach. The most recent outage started Thursday.

Oswego Health will offer a free flu shot clinic from 4 to 6 p.m. Dec. 2 at its Advanced Medical Imaging location in Fulton courtesy of one of its physicians.

School Board Split Over New Position
By a 5-2 vote Tuesday night the Oswego school board appointed Linda Doty to the recently created position of director of grants and partnerships. Opponents say now is not the time to be adding positions. Proponents say the position will bring in more funds than is spent on the salary.
