Well-connected North Country political blogs report today that Republican Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava of Gouverneur has a solid head start in her effort to be picked by her party to run for Congress today.
Tonight’s the night to Rock The Block in Fulton. The annual block party takes place from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the downtown pavilion.
The annual event features music from the Cortini Bros. & The Critics Horns, food from Red Baron Pizza, Blue Moon Grill, Tavern on the Lock and Schremp Dogs, and a chance to mingle with all your neighbors.

Aldermen Tuesday night agreed to accept a home at 423 Erie St. from the Oswego County Department of Social Services. Social Services received the home from the Florence McEwen estate in July, 2006, according to the deed filed for the property transfer.
It was a short stay near the top for Richard Ravitch.
