Oswego High School was the site of the New York School Music Association Zone 4 Area All State Music Festival on Nov. 21. The Ralph M. Faust Theatre for the Performing Arts was filled with music as chorus, orchestra and band performed under the direction of talented and veteran directors.

Charges Against Oswego Firefighters Adjourned

Charges against two Oswego firefighters have been adjourned in contemplation of dismissal. In City Court on Tuesday, Judge James Metcalf noted that the pair has been punished by the department Ã¢â‚¬â€œ placed on 30-days unpaid leave. The judge adjourned the charges in contemplation of dismissal based on a recommendation from the Oswego County District AttorneyÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Office.

Public Hearing: Highway Improvements On Route 104 Between Kocher Road And Maiden Lane, Town Of Scriba

The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will conduct a public hearing on the design of a highway safety improvement project on State Route 104 between Kocher Road and Maiden Lane in the town of Scriba, Oswego County. The hearing will be held on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, beginning at 7:30 p.m. at the Scriba Justice Center, located at 45 Creamery Road in Scriba, NY.
