Legislature Chairman Gardner Announces Standing Committee Assignments
Oswego County Legislature Chairman Kevin Gardner (District 13, New Haven) announced appointments to the County Legislature’s standing committees for 2015. The seven committees oversee departments of county government and make budgetary and policy recommendations to the full Legislature.

A-Verdi Storage Containers Presents Four Race 360 Sprint Series at Fulton, Brewerton Speedways
Long-time Fulton and Brewerton Speedway sponsor, A-Verdi Storage Containers, has signed on to sponsor the four-race series of 360 sprint car races at the Fulton and Brewerton speedways in 2015. Dubbed the A-Verdi Fulton and Brewerton 360 Sprint Car Series, each track will play host to a pair of winged 360 Sprint Car events this year.

Harborfest Fundraising Chicken BBQ Hosted By Gibby’s
Oswego Harborfest is set for late July, but the efforts to raise funds for one of the largest admission free festivals in the nation continues on February 7. Proving you can have fun while fundraising planning is under way for the annual chicken barbeque. In conjunction with “Warm Up Oswego” festivities, Gibby Thompson, owner of Gibby’s Irish Pub, has volunteered his cooking expertise and business to play host to the event.

Oswego Speedway Grand Prix Champion To Appear At Oswego Alliance Church Pinewood Derby
Mike Bruce, a three-time main event winner last season in Oswego Speedway’s Pathfinder Bank Small Block Super division, will be making an appearance at the Oswego Alliance Church Community Center Pinewood Derby Saturday, January 24. The derby is being held as a part of the Oswego Alliance Church AWANA program. The AWANA program at Oswego Alliance Church is for students ages two through sixth grade.
