If you hold a Technician License and would like to upgrade to General, this class will get you there. This 10-week class will be held at the County Building in Fulton (across from Mimi’s) starting February 2. Class starts at 6:30 p.m. There is no cost for this class.

Two new exhibitions, one using multiple artistic media to explore the subject of gender identity, the other a provocative collection of photography from Light Work, will run Jan. 31 to Feb. 15 at SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery at Penfield Library.

Century 21 Leah’s Signature is pleased to welcome back licensed real estate salesperson Karen Hammond to the Fulton office. Hammond has years of experience in the real estate sales profession. She will specialize in Residential, Commercial, Luxury and Waterfront property sales in Oswego, Onondaga, Cayuga and Jefferson counties.

Gabrielle Griffin of Sterling, a freshman majoring in science studies at Clarkson University, received the Elwyn J. Rodee Endowed Scholarship and the Thomas Edward Simpkins ’30 Endowed Scholarship during the 2014-2015 academic year.

Local author, baker and painter Diane Sokolowski was a recent guest at Oswego Rotary. Sokolowski spoke about her newly penned book, “So, I Wanted to Run a Bed and Breakfast.”

To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must be full-time and have achieved a minimum 3.6 semester and cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
