The Gardens Holds Ribbon Cutting To Celebrate Opening

The Gardens by Morningstar had its official ribbon cutting on February 8. The Gardens is a 106-bed assisted living facility with 77 Medicaid ALP beds and 29 private adult home beds. The four-year long project began in 2012 when owners Atom Avery and Joseph Murabito were awarded the beds by the New York State Department of Health.

Mentor Oswego Named Community Champion for February

As coordinators in SUNY Oswego’s Mentor Oswego program, Sahar Rajput, Julie Barton and Shelby Yates lead an army of 89 college volunteers to provide social and academic counseling throughout the county. Recognizing Oswego County co-chair Brandon Morey said, “The selection of Sahar, Julie and Shelby as our community champions for February highlights the accomplishments of these amazing young women who have risen in the ranks of the Mentor Oswego program and now run the show.”

In the SUNY Oswego student honors production of "The Mousetrap" by renowned mystery writer Agatha Christie, Kelci Schlierf (at far right rear) plays the "nearly departed" sourpuss Mrs. Boyle as suspects in her murder surround her. Under the direction of Ana Richardson, the play will preview on March 3 and run March 4 to 5 and 11 to 13 in Hewitt ballroom.

Balancing Suspense, Hilarity Provide Challenge For ‘The Mousetrap’ Director

Murder, misperception and mirth come to Monkswell Manor as SUNY Oswego’s student honors production of Agatha Christie’s “The Mousetrap” takes the Hewitt ballroom stage in March. For a “Clue” to the approach of director Ana Richardson in staging the classic whodunit, “The Mousetrap” will preview at 7:30 p.m. March 3, and run at 7:30 p.m. March 4, 5, 11 and 12, with a 2 p.m. finale on March 13.
