Statewide Housing And Community Development Conference To Be Held In Oswego

The Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center in Oswego will host the 2017 Affordable Housing and Community Development Conference on September 11, 12 and 13. Sponsored by the Albany, NY-based New York State Rural Housing Coalition, the conference will bring together affordable housing developers, housing counselors, community development professionals, lenders, and government officials representing rural communities all across New York.

Councilors Eye Streamlining Property Disposition Policy

At Tuesday’s Administrative Services Committee meeting Councilor Nathan Emmons, through Kevin Caraccioli, City Attorney, requested consideration from the Common Council to approve a Property Disposition Policy and Procedure for city-owned real estate. There is a policy in place, but it generally pertains to foreclosed property, he explained. The new policy would revise the way in which the city may come into ownership of a property, while refining the manner of disposing of such properties.

The Taconic State Parkway is a 104.12-mile, limited access, divided scenic highway snugged between the rolling hills of the Berkshires and the Hudson.
