An annual tradition continues as Oswego Speedway will once again hold its Hall of Fame and Championship Banquet on November 4 at the Lake Ontario Event & Conference Center in Oswego, honoring deserving track champions Dave Shullick Jr. and Dave Cliff. Over two months removed from the final event of the regular season on August 19, Shullick and Cliff will officially receive the accolades of an Oswego champion.
Huller will be providing free pink ribbon auto decals to the first people 50 people at the Cancer Services’ 8th Annual Human Pink Ribbon Ceremony, October 28 from 10 a.m. to noon at Bullhead Point in Fulton.

The annual Model Train Show of the Oswego Valley Railroad Association will be held at the Fulton War Memorial, 609 W. Broadway (Route 3). The dates are November 11 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and November 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The delivery truck from Eagle Beverage Inc. arrived right on time at St. Luke Health Services as Eagle representatives unloaded a supply of beer and other specialty beverages for residents, family and friends to sample, while sharing some comradery and laughs during their annual Oktoberfest celebration.
Great sportsmanship was on display for Mexico Academy & Central Schools’ annual Mexico Idol on October 19, where 12 students from the high school chorus sang, competing for the first place title.
College students have ranked sleep as a contributing factor to academic success. But, many also said poor time management can cause problems, according to a spokesman for the Oswego State Mary Walker Lifestyles Center. Michelle Sloan, a health promotion coordinator for the Lifestyles Center, said that even though students don’t seek help, the university knows that lack of sleep rates rise during midterm and finals week. “There is always time for sleep,” Sloan said.
