Friends of Fulton Parks, Fulton NY Rocks, Fulton Y, and OCO’s Impact Program are hosting a Healthy Halloween Hike on Saturday October 28th. This free event will start at noon on Saturday, October 28 at the Indian Point Landing, located past Mimi’s near the Fulton City limits on State Route 481.

Laker Men’s Ice Hockey Ready For Elmira, Annual Teal Game

The Oswego State men’s ice hockey team will host its regular-season opener against the Elmira College Soaring Eagles Saturday night at 7 p.m. in the Marano Campus Center Arena. In its exhibition last Saturday against the CCHL All-Graduate Team, the Lakers won 3-1, with goals from Mitch Emerson, Mike Gillespie and Chris MacMillan.

Oswego Girls’ Volleyball Season Concluded

Our final home tournament was held this past Saturday. We finished first in our pool by going 5-1 in pool play and split with Solvay. In the gold semifinals we beat Central Sqaure 2 games to 1 to advance to the championship game vs Solvay. Solvay’s serving was too much for us and we lost to them in the Gold Championship match.

While I enjoyed shopping at this year’s farmers’ market at its new location at Bullhead Point and talking with the vendors and meeting friends, I miss the attraction of the market downtown.
The market is more than a store; it’s a place for the community to come together. In a way it’s a community wide social event.
