On Aug. 11, the Emergency Services Program of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, in cooperation with the Food Bank of Central New York, will sponsor a fresh food distribution.
The Nine Mile One nuclear power plant reactor began to be shut down Tuesday after workers discovered a problem with one of its backup power generators, according to the plant’s owner, Constellation Nuclear.
Spokesperson Jill Lyon says the shutdown was stopped and the plant was brought back to full power by midnight after the generator was fixed.
Kinser had competed at the high-banked 3/8-mile just once in his career prior to this season, finishing second in 2005. He bettered that one spot in the World of Outlaws return to Fulton Speedway on Tuesday night, picking up the win, which was his seventh of the season.
