Oswego County Plans Aerial Spraying This Week
Depending upon weather conditions, spraying could take place on Thursday, August 5. The application would take place between 6 and 9 p.m. In the event of bad weather, rain dates will be on Friday, August 6 or Saturday, August 7. The actual date will be announced to the public through the news media.
Jazz Guitar Great Sparks Returns To Jazz Fest
One of the highlights of last year’s Jazz Fest, the legendary jazz guitarist, Melvin Sparks, the originator of soul jazz, old school acid jazz, and barbecue funk jazz, will return to ignite Fulton’s Jazz Fest with another electrifying performance on Aug. 14.
Fulton Police Department To Distribute Bicycle Helmets At Farmers’ Market
This Saturday, the Fulton Police Department’s Bicycle Patrol Unit will be on hand at the Fulton Farmers’ Market from 9 a.m. to noon to distribute and properly fit free bicycle helmets for children.
CYO Students Learn Importance Of Internet Safety
Participants in Catholic Charities of Oswego County’s CYO Summer Program now have a better understanding of how to safely use the internet and avoid unpleasant experiences and unwanted attention thanks to a special presentation by counselors Shelley Merritt and Marjorie Storrs of Catholic Charities’ School Based Mental Health Program.

Pirate Day at the Oswego Public Library
The library will be offering a pirate themed day Friday, August 6th, beginning at 10:30 am with a story hour, craft, and snack. Later that day at 1:30 there will be treasure bottle activity and treasure hunt in the library.
