Syracuse Company Eyes Takeover Of Oswego Softball Complex

Committee members OK’d City Attorney Kevin Caraccioli’s request to enter into a sports management contract with Champions Events in Syracuse for the operation and management of the Legends Fields commencing with the 2018 softball season. The company proposes to refurbish the sports diamonds as well as repair the buildings at the complex. Moreover, they will organize softball leagues and provide a facility manager to oversee daily operations.

Whaley Pleads Guilty In Albion Abuse Case

On Monday (March 19) morning, Shawn Whaley, 24, appeared before the Hon. James McCarthy, Oswego County Supreme Court, and pleaded guilty to the entire indictment that was filed against him. Whaley, whose jury trial was scheduled to begin Monday, pleaded guilty to 13 separate offenses, including six felonies that occurred in the town of Albion during the summer of 2017.

State Police Seek Public Assistance With Identifying Suspect In Surveillance Photo

State Police is seeking public assistance in identifying an individual regarding a criminal mischief investigation at the Nice-N-Easy store on State Route 13 in the town of Williamstown. On February 18, at 1:54 a.m., a customer became angry when the cashier refused to sell him beer and damaged the store’s front counter.
