Oswego State women’s ice hockey team nearly pulled off an upset, but came up just short in a 4-3 loss to seventh-ranked Elmira College Saturday night. The two teams traded the lead with goals on each side throughout the entire 60 minutes of play.
The top-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team (21-2-2, 14-0-2 SUNYAC) posted its second consecutive shutout to close out the regular season with a 3-0 win against Potsdam (8-15-2, 6-10-0 SUNYAC) Saturday at the Campus Center Arena.

The Oswego State women’s basketball team made a bid for an upset on its home floor by staying within striking range of Buffalo State throughout the second half, but a late first-half surge by the Bengals was enough to earn the 71-61 victory.
Another chapter was added to one of the most storied rivalries in college hockey as Andrew Hare registered 27 saves to give the No. 1-ranked Oswego State men’s ice hockey team a 3-0 win over fourth-ranked Plattsburgh Friday night in front of a sellout crowd. It was Hare’s second shutout of the season that locked the top seed in the conference playoffs for the Lakers.
