Fulton Polish Home To Hold Winter Chicken BBQ
Members of the Fulton Polish Home will be serving up chicken BBQ dinners at their club on January 31, serving from 11:30 a.m. until all chickens are sold. Full dinners consisting of a half chicken, salt potatoes, BBQ beans, roll, and butter are $9. Half chicken only available for $6.

Chance For Local Poets To Be Recognized
Starting Jan 31, The Jay Trisolino Poetry contest begins taking submissions (and will continue taking them until March 7) for a contest seeking the best, most original poetry in the region. Through this contest, The Utica Writers Club honors a long-time member of the club and all the other great poets in the NY with recognition and monetary prizes.

Sharp Elementary School to thank students for sending over letters of encouragement while he served a tour of duty in Afghanistan. “Thank you for writing to me while I was in Afghanistan,” Major Del Boyer told students. “I look around at your names and recognize each and every one.”

Porky and Buddy Pet Health – Don’t Let Your Pets Get Obese
I just got back from the vet’s office where I took my dog Betsy and my cat Boomer for their annual check up and boy am I mad! She got all grouchy with me and told me they are FAT. Well she used the word obese, like that would be more polite somehow. I just go by the recommendation on their dog and cat food packages and they only get a few treats per day. She wants me to cut that down by a quarter and cut out all treats. They’ll starve. What do you think?

Fulton Savings Bank Elects Pamela Caraccioli To Board Of Trustees
“We are pleased to welcome Pam Caraccioli to the bank board. She is an individual who is not only well known and active in community service but is a leader in business and industrial development in the region,” said Caswell. Caraccioli is currently serving as deputy to the president at SUNY Oswego, overseeing and coordinating all economic development activities on behalf of the college.

Fulton Noon Rotary Club President Lori Greeney presented a check to Jeff Waldron, Fulton wrestling coach and junior high school teacher. He pointed out that even though wrestling is an official team sport of the Fulton School District, many expenses are needed to cover the unusual expense associated with any sport activity.
