Not So Silent ‘Cause It’s Live!

This year’s Oswego County Historical Society’s “Not So Silent Auction” will be held Friday, April 1, from 6 to 8:30 p.m., at the American Foundry in Oswego. Shown at left is professional auctioneer Ted Sivers, who will direct the live portion of the event, as he discusses auction plans with Chairperson Barbara Canale. They are looking over a limited edition collector doll by Seymour Mann, which will be available at the auction. Symposium Honors Local Soldiers of the War of 1812

Historian Shawn Doyle will present a talk about local War of 1812 soldiers at the Oswego County War of 1812 Symposium on Saturday, April 2. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Foundry on West Seneca Street in Oswego. Pictured are Pulaski resident Ralph Price (1793-1874) with his daughters (l-r) Polly, Cordelia, Caroline and Lydia. Price served in the War of 1812 and was one of many who belonged to the Town of Richland Militia that responded to the call of duty at Sackets Harbor.
