Internationally known Aerosmith tribute band, Draw the Line, is set to perform this summer at the Rev & Rock Classic Rock Festival at Oswego Speedway, according to Chuck Handley, Chairman of the Rev & Rock Festival Committee.
The Oswego County Historical Society’s (OCHS) July fundraiser recently kicked off. The campaign called, “Be Historical. Keep Our History Alive!†is being supported by businesses throughout Oswego County, according to Connie Clancy, campaign committee chairperson for the OCHS Board of Trustees.
Best-selling author Greg Mortenson is coming to Oswego October 28th and tickets to the much-anticipated event will be going on sale Monday, July 12th. Mortenson will be making a special appearance to a few schools during the day before making a presentation in the evening at the SUNY Oswego Campus Center. His first book, “Three Cups of Tea,†is the selected book for Oswego’s first community-wide read initiated by Oswego Reads. Tickets may be purchased online only by going to the link on the Oswego Reads Web site at www.oswegoreads.com.
The Oswego City School District Board of Education will face a busy agenda at 4 p.m. today. Kathleen Allen, James Tschudy and new OHS student representative Hayley Lukaczyk will take the oath of office to begin their terms on the board. The board will receive an update on the status of the redistricting reconfiguration issue.
