Fair Housing Council Announces Contest Winners

The Oswego Fair Housing Council recently announced the winners of their annual coloring contest. Community Bank, Fulton Savings Bank and Pathfinder Bank donated savings bonds to the council as prizes for each of the winners. Sunrise Rotarians Hear About Border Patrol Work

At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting President Ellen  Nowyj introduced Scott Plasse, Border Patrol Supervising Agent, who spoke of the new focus of Border Patrol.   For a long time the former focus was primarily illegal immigration.  Now the new focus is on counter terrorism and securing the lake shore which spans Oswego, Cayuga and Wayne Counties.  Seventeen to twenty six terrorist cells have been identified in Canada as threats to our country.    Fulton Sunrise Rotary meets every Friday at 7 AM at Fulton's Riverside Inn.At a recent Fulton Sunrise Rotary meeting President Ellen Nowyj introduced Scott Plasse, Border Patrol Supervising Agent, who spoke of the new focus of Border Patrol.

Extra Hours for Hannibal Historical Society Museum

Tower Climber Safety Project Earns SUNY Oswego Grad National Award

Wallace "Wally" Reardon nears the top of a 1,100-foot television tower in the late 1990s on Grand Island. He has since retired from climbing after witnessing a colleague's catastrophic injury. He graduated from SUNY Oswego in May and now will receive a national award for a tower climbers safety program he began in college. New audio minor to have sound implications at SUNY Oswego
