On Thursday, July 16, Harborfest Volunteer Coordinator Michael Petrilli reviewed the plans for this year’s Harborfest.
Thanks to the combined efforts of Harborfest and Pathfinder Bank, visitors to this year’s celebration will have the opportunity to experience the glory of Oswego’s historic waterfront as the famous US Brig Niagara will sail into Oswego.
Well-known local musician Ron Richards has been named winner of the 2009 Harborfest song contest. A veteran of the Oswego County music scene, Richards has performed with a number of local bands as well as performing as a solo artist
Fans of the music of Carlos Santana can look forward to an exciting free concert featuring North America’s number one Santana tribute band. Smooth…sounds of Santana will be performing July 26 at 1:30 p.m. on the NRG Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park during Harborfest.
On July 26, the NRG Lakeview Stage at Breitbeck Park will rock with the sounds of the ‘greatest decade in rock & roll’ as The Devonshires bring their thrilling live performance to Oswego’s Harborfest.
Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County, in partnership with Head Start Center Fort Ontario, Pinewood Head Start Center, and Pulaski Early Learning Center, is proud to announce the early success of its new family literacy program. Children and parents attended the FAB program on Wednesday, July 8th, and left with smiles and a free book. Interactive sessions were held to teach parents about the importance of choosing age appropriate books and to enrich the children’s understanding of the book that was read through crafts and activities.
