Catholic Charities of Oswego County, which recently relocated from 365 W. First St. S., to 808 W. Broadway, the former Cayuga Community College and CiTi site, will host an open house from 3 to 5 p.m. Nov. 9.

Director Inez Parker is thrilled to announce her cast for Agatha Christie’s “Fiddlers Three.” It will be presented as dinner theater by the Oswego Players at the Church of the Resurrection this November.

Northern Oswego County Health Services, Inc., announces the expansion of it dental services with the opening of a new dental practice and the hiring of new dental providers. On June 5, NOCHSI opened its newly constructed and equipped dental practice immediately adjacent to its Fulton Health Center at 510 S. Fourth St., Suite 600 in Fulton, in the former A.L. Lee Memorial Hospital building now owned by Oswego Health.

National Grid has signed on as a Silver Level sponsor for OCO’s “Giving Thanks” fundraiser. To event will be held Nov. 1, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., at the Lake Ontario Convention, Event and Conference Center in Oswego.

Two sessions on quilling, sponsored by Friends of the Library, will be held at Oswego Public Library, 120 E. Second St. They’re planned for October 25 and November 1 from 12:30 – 2:30 p.m. Participants will create a quilled object during each session, a card with flowers in the first session and a magnet with flowers or animals in the second session.

The Episcopal Church of the Resurrection on West Fifth Street in Oswego celebrated St. Francis Day Blessings of the Animals today (Oct. 15) with a worship service celebrating all creation and especially animal companions.

Palermo Elementary is turning the page when it comes to encouraging and promoting family literacy. As a continuation to the school’s year-long reading initiative, the Parent-Teacher Club recently hosted its annual Snuggle up with a Good Book event, which drew about 40 people to the school cafeteria.
