On Jan. 27 and 28, Catholic Charities of Oswego County have teamed with Ruby Tuesday Restaurants in Oswego and Clay for a fundraiser that potentially could provide our food pantry and CYO programs with much needed financial support.
The Oswego County Sheriff’s Department recently hosted a Project Lifesaver (PLS) training exercise at Goettel Park in the village of Central Square. The drill included members of Oswego County Search and Rescue along with the aviation unit for the Onondaga County Sheriff’s Department’s Air 1 helicopter.
The students in Cathleen McSweeney’s First Step Universal Pre-K at Kingsford Park Elementary School recently had a visit from Subway. The students learned about healthy nutrition and the food groups.
On Friday and Saturday, Ruby Tuesday restaurants at 146 E. Thirteenth St. in Oswego and Route 31 in Clay will donate 20% off all food receipts to Catholic Charities of Oswego County.
Once again the United Way of Greater Oswego County is partnering with community-based organizations to help raise awareness of a program that has benefited hundreds of families throughout Oswego County.
The Oswego Clearview Squirt hockey team captured a 2-0 win and battled to a 2-2 tie on the road against Lysander 1 and Lysander 2 recently, according to Oswego Head Coach Eric Koproski.
