United Way ‘Stone Soup’ Luncheon To Aid Local Food Pantries

Stone Soup planning committee member Marion Ciciarelli of Oswego Health receives a cup of soup from a member of the SUNY Oswego Women’s Ice Hockey Team at last year’s United Way Stone Soup Luncheon. Also serving as members of the planning committee are: Shawn Seale of Key Bank; Helen Hoefer of Catholic Charities of Oswego County, Deb Deeb of Human Concerns, community volunteer Pat Benjamin and Aaron Thorpe of 24-Hour Record-Retriever-Abstract.The United Way of Greater Oswego County will be hosting the sixth annual Stone Soup Luncheon on Nov. 10 at St. Joseph’s Parish Center on West First Street in Oswego.

A strong, active alumni base has factored into the SUNY Oswego School of Business' selection the past eight years for Princeton Review's guide to top MBA-granting schools nationally. Here, Jeff Gibbs, class of 1980 and a vice president of Biogen Idec, speaks with students Oct. 6 in Larry Maher's "Business Organization" class as part of the school's annual Alumni Symposium. His Boston-based pharmaceutical company has hired Oswego interns the past several years and employs a co-op student full time this fall.The SUNY Oswego School of Business recently made the Princeton Review’s annual guide to the nation’s top graduate schools of business for the eighth consecutive year.
