Hazen-Forte Recognized for Entrepreneurial Success

At its annual meeting in June, Operation Oswego County (OOC)  presented Heidi Hazen-Forte with its 2010 Dee Heckethorn Entrepreneur  Award.  Hazen-Forte was recognized for her entrepreneurial spirit and  determination in establishing an innovative business, an indoor sports  facility tailored for girls’ fast pitch softball training.  The facility  also offers classes to its athletes such as recruiting preparation and  college placement, sport nutrition, time management skills and sport  psychology.  Hazen-Forte was also recognized for taking considerable  risk in building a new 6,400-square-foot building in the Rich Corporate  Park in the town of Hastings. Owens’ visit to the St. Luke healthcare  campus in Oswego included stops at Bishop’s Commons, St. Luke Health  Services and Little Lukes Childcare Center, to talk with staff about  federal healthcare issues and to meet residents and family.St. Luke Health Services welcomed Representative Bill Owens (23rd Congressional District) to their healthcare campus in Oswego to discuss federal healthcare issues and to give Rep. Owens the opportunity to visit St. Luke, Bishop’s Commons Assistive Living Residence and Little Lukes Childcare Center.
