“Sounds Of Brass” Entertains St. Luke Residents

St. Luke Health Services in Oswego was filled with the sweet sounds of jazz when the “Sounds of Brass” band visited to entertain residents. Composed of band members from across the county, “Sounds of Brass” offered a wide range of selections from contemporary favorites to familiar standards. Pictured are “Sounds of Brass” members Natalie Sturr and Ray Bratt. Other members of the group include Dave Brown, Dick Harper, Frank Bickle and Jim Meyers. The group performed a wide variety of favorites for residents of St. Luke Health Services.

Public Health Volunteers Urged to Register with Health Department

Assemblyman Barclay today urged health care professionals to register with ServNY, a network of health care and mental health professionals willing to volunteer during an emergency or major disaster on behalf of the state. The web-based registry assists the Department of Health in recruiting and deploying volunteers in the hour of need.

Metro Center To Host Drug, Alcohol Awareness Training For Supervisors

The SUNY Oswego Metro Center will offer a pair of two-hour training workshops on Sept. 23 to help human resource managers and supervisors have the specific and correct understanding of the federal laws, to avoid any legal and financial implications.
