St. Luke Health Services in Oswego was filled with the sweet sounds of jazz when the “Sounds of Brass†band visited to entertain residents. Composed of band members from across the county, “Sounds of Brass†offered a wide range of selections from contemporary favorites to familiar standards. For some time now, our County E-911 Director, Mike Allen, and the Legislature’s Public Safety and Emergency Services Committee have been laying the groundwork for replacing the county’s outdated emergency communications system. There are a number of problems with the present equipment, and a new communications system has been needed for many years.
A group from ARC of Oswego County recently joined The Arc of Oneida-Lewis for their Run/Walk event in New Hartford, walking over a mile to raise awareness about individuals with disabilities.
