Vaccines have been greatly successful in reducing and even wiping out diseases such as chicken pox, measles, mumps, polio and many more. Another safe and effective vaccine is the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine. The HPV vaccine prevents cancer and is recommended for children beginning at age 9. Yet, misinformation and a lack of understanding about its benefits discourage parents from getting their children this lifesaving vaccine.

GRB’s Early College High School Program Gives Students An Up-Close Look At Upstate Hospital

Students in the Early College High School health sciences program at Fulton’s G. Ray Bodley High School recently got a behind-the-scenes look at Upstate Hospital with a valuable job shadowing experience. The shadowing program, hosted from now through August, gives incoming seniors at least 20 hours of service credit working with doctors, nurses, and hospital staff in a variety of medical fields.

Fulton Wellness Studio Awarded “Studio Scale Up” Grant To Expand Breast Cancer Recovery Program

mission: midlife Wellness Studio is one of 10 recipients world-wide to be awarded a Studio Scale Up Grant awarded by Studio Grow. Beth Ann Dice, owner/trainer at the studio, is a Certified Breast Cancer Recovery BOSU%C2%AE Specialist and Certified Cancer Exercise Specialist. Ms. Dice was also awarded a scholarship to participate in Studio Grow%E2%80%99s 12-month Mastermind Business Coaching Program, and will attend a two-day retreat in Chicago later this month as part of the program.

Fulton Residents Receive First Fulton Block Builder Check Of The 2023 Season

Doug and Pat Hart received the first Fulton Block Builder check of the 2023 season. The Harts have participated in the Fulton Block Builders program a few times and say while the reimbursement for home improvements is great, they have really developed an appreciation for the community aspect of the program.
