The total benefits of preserving upstate nuclear plants through a proposed Clean Energy Standard (CES) exceed the costs. And, in the early years of the CES (up until 2023), more than 75% of the carbon avoided by the program is directly attributable to preserving upstate nuclear.

“This is a law we’ve all considered at one time or another, at least the councilors who here before,” Mayor Billy Barlow said. “What this does is give the police department a tool. They can go down to the local pawn shops and try to track down the stolen items. It requires a store to hold an item for a certain period of time. It requires the store to document the item that they have.” There is a fee attached.

The Oswego Fire Department is are proud to announce its upcoming “Oswego Community Safety Day” scheduled for May 7 in

State Police in Lysander arrested Jeff R. Wallace II, 20, from County Route 7 in Oswego, for Petit Larceny and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. On April 13, Troopers responded to the Target store on Route 31 in the town of Clay for a reported hit and run accident that just occurred in the parking lot.

On Monday (April 18), at approximately 5:45 p.m., State Police responded to WalMart on State Route 3 in the town of Granby, for a report of a larceny in progress.
