The council granted authorization for the mayor to request the city’s state legislators prepare and introduce the necessary legislation to enable the city to continue the additional one percent sales and compensation use tax for the period December 1, 2013 and ending November 30, 2015. Emergency crews are on the scene of a serious accident in Scriba. The crash happened at about 3:54 p.m. today at 737 County Route 1, Scriba. There is no report currently on the condition of either person involved.
