A dark red or maroon colored Volkswagan sedan, possibly a Passat or a Golf, struck a bicyclist on State Route 48 in the town of Granby, just north of the city of Fulton.
The 2013 Central New York Scholastic Arts competition is the elite show of the year for talented high school students.
