Lake Ontario Waterfront Festival To Feature Boats For Sale

People coming to the Lake Ontario Waterfront Festival will not only see some classic ships, they’ll also be able to buy boats on display from two area marinas. The new Case Marina in Baldwinsville and FLX Marine of Union Springs and Canandaigua will display a variety of the boats for sale. The festival takes place Saturday, May 20. from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the H. Lee White Maritime Museum at the end of West First Street Pier, Oswego. Admission to the festival is free of charge.

The Guess Who, Firefall, Atlanta Rhythm Section To Headline Harborfest 2023

t’ll be a night of some of the greatest hits of the classic rock era when The Guess Who, Firefall and the Atlanta Rhythm Section share the Breitbeck Park stage Friday, July 28 as the headline acts for Harborfest 2023. The three bands are responsible for more than two dozen Top 40 hits, including “American Woman” from The Guess Who, Firefall’s “Just Remember I Love You” and Atlanta Rhythm Section’s “So Into You.” The 7 p.m. show is free of charge. The concert is sponsored by the City of Oswego, Oswego County Tourism and Generation Bridge.

One year ago today, our attention was drawn to a vibrant and beloved neighborhood for a terrible reason. All eyes were fixed upon the city of Buffalo’s East Side following the tragic, racist shooting of 10 people who had simply gone grocery shopping on a Saturday afternoon. The shooting was a targeted act of hatred that traumatized this historically Black community, and the nation. The killer specifically traveled for hours to a Black neighborhood grocery store to carry out his murderous plan.

Water Levels To Decline Throughout The Lake Ontario-St. Lawrence River System With Dry Forecast

Lake Ontario water levels are approaching the seasonal peak. Outflow into the St. Lawrence River is gradually increasing, as Ottawa River flows gradually decrease.  Water levels on Lake Ontario increased the first few days of May due to decreased flows related to rising downstream water levels and a slow-moving wet weather system.
