Governor Cuomo Announces New Competitive Program To Retain New York’s Existing Renewable Energy Resources

Governor Andrew M. Cuomo today announced the launch of a new large-scale renewable energy procurement program, known as Competitive Tier 2, which will retain New York’s existing renewable energy resources, promote lower statewide carbon emissions, and help support the state’s economic recovery by increasing in-state competition and reducing energy costs.

OCSD Announces In-Person Reopening Plans For Middle, High School

In a letter sent home to families, OCSD Superintendent Dr. Mathis Calvin III updated the community by emphasizing the plan is for Oswego High School and Oswego Middle School students to return in person, ideally in the next 30 to 45 days. Both schools have been fully remote for students since the school year began.

St. Baldrick’s Committee, Oswego Hibernians To Host Red Cross Blood Drive February 8

Due to COVID-19 concerns, many schools and colleges are not hosting their usual blood drives, so Witmer talked to some of his committee members, found a willing host at the Oswego Hibernians, and scheduled a blood drive for Monday, February 8, from 1 to 6 p.m. The Ancient Order of Hibernians is located at 22 Munn Street, Oswego.
