Legislature Extends Call-N-Ride Service for Seniors 60 and Older

The Oswego County Legislature has approved an agreement with Oswego County Opportunities to provide free transportation services to senior citizens aged 60 and older through the “Call-N-Ride” program for another year. OCO operates the Call-N-Ride program for “curb-to-curb” transportation to elderly and disabled people within Oswego County who don’t live on a public transportation route.

State Police Charge Fulton Man With Sexual Misconduct, Endangering the Welfare of a Child

In February 2016 State Police in Fulton began investigating a complaint in which 19-year-old William J. Loomis of Fulton allegedly had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old victim. Subsequent to investigation police identified a previous victim. Loomis is also accused of having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old victim when he was 17.

Traffic Stop Ends In Drug Charges For Two Oswego Men

On March 18, at approximately 10:13 p.m., State Police in Fulton stopped a vehicle on State Route 48 in the town of Granby. Police observed alleged obvious signs of drug use within the vehicle both on the driver’s side of the vehicle and in the lap of the passenger. The driver and passenger were subsequently arrested.

Route 104’s Potential Makeover Unveiled

Beautifying the main corridor is a top priority of Mayor William Barlow’s. The multi-year project will encourage private investment in homes and businesses as well as increase property values and it will increase business, city officials said. Some of the things they will consider going forward with the plan are sidewalks, bike lanes, paved shoulders, bus lanes, pedestrian amenities, traffic calming areas and more. Work could begin in early 2017.
