Scrolls From India Exhibition Coming to SUNY Oswego’s Tyler Art Gallery
The scrolls come from the personal collection of Dr. Geraldine Forbes, a distinguished teaching professor of history at SUNY Oswego and a renowned scholar on India. Forbes will give a gallery talk at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 29. The event is part of the welcoming reception, free and open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Visitors Invited to Explore Winona Forest by Ski and Dog Sled on Jan. 16
Mushers, skiers, and outdoor lovers of all ages are invited to explore the Winona Forest Recreation Area on Saturday, Jan. 16, at the third annual Winona Forest Recreation Association (WFRA) Winterfest. The event starts at 9 a.m. at the CCC Camp on Co. Rt. 90 in Lorraine. The recreation area features more than 70 miles of groomed trails in northern Oswego and southern Jefferson counties.
Hannibal Winterfest Raffling A “Night On The Town For Two”
Doug Malone presented the Hannibal Winterfest committee with a generous donation to cover the cost of a “Night On the Town for Twoâ€Â. The evening consists of a gift certificate for dinner at Vona’s Restaurant in Oswego and two passes to the Oswego Cinema. The committee will be selling raffle tickets for this prize from now until Winterfest weekend. The proceeds from the raffle are used to provide prizes for the winners of the events.
