Fulton Public Library Presents Quilting for Beginners

Fulton Public Library will be hosting Stephanie McCall, of Quilts by Commission, for a beginner’s quilting class.  There will be two classes held – Wednesdays from 10 to 11 and then from 1:30 to 2:30.  It will be six weeks long, starting on September 24th and ending on October 29th.

City Seals Agreement To Review Code Compliance At New DPW Site

The city of Fulton is taking its first steps to make necessary renovations at the Department of Public Works’ new home on Edgarton Street. With consent of the Fulton Common Council, Barton & Loguidice will perform a comprehensive review of the site, looking for code deficiencies. Officials say the assessment is required before any upgrades at the facility will be reimbursable.

Fulton Celebrates the City’s Polish Heritage

“People will have the opportunity to celebrate their real or adopted Polish heritage,” said John Kruk, chairman of the Fulton Polish Fest Committee. “We will have live music, a dance troupe and great Polish food, including golabki, pierogi and kielbasa. For those who prefer, we will have traditional American food, as well.”

Without Additional Pre-K Students, Fulton Will Have To Return State Dollars

The benefit of additional state aid for the Universal Pre-Kindergarten program in Fulton may soon be lost if the district doesn’t receive a few more students. The district has to enroll 162 students by Oct. 1 or cut a refund check to the state for a portion of state aid money received for the 2008-09 school year. As of Friday, the district was approximately a dozen students short of that goal.
