Dr. Dennis Norfleet, Oswego County Public Health Director, says there is plenty of H1N1 flu vaccine for Oswego County residents. Appointments can be made online or by calling the Health Department at 349-3547.Dr. Dennis Norfleet, Oswego County Director of Public Health, would like to stress the importance of staying healthy and getting vaccinated against H1N1 this flu season.

Health experts are expecting another wave of H1N1 to hit sometime in February. There is still time to get vaccinated against H1N1 flu.

Oswego County Residents Can Make Appointments for H1N1 Flu Vaccine

The Oswego County Health Department has received additional H1N1 flu vaccine and will accept calls for appointments on Thursday, Nov. 19, and Friday, Nov. 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until all appointments are filled. People who are in priority groups for receiving the vaccine as noted below may call for appointments.

Superintendent Bill Lynch told the Board of Education Tuesday night that the county has asked schools if they would be willing to hold clinics to provide nasal mist vaccine to students. The district is willing to do so.

H1N1 Bug Begins To Bite In Hannibal

<p>The H1N1 flu virus.</p>A few days back, we asked Hannibal, Fulton and Oswego schools for attendance data for the month so far.  This is data they’re reporting daily both to the state, for state aid purposes, and to the county Health Department, which is tracking the spread of H1N1 flu.
