Town of Parish Recognitions

Former Town of Parish Supervisor’s Bill Scriber and Frank House and present Supervisor Stephen J. Stelmashuck presented Carl Dayger with a plaque recognizing his 28 years if distinguished and dedicated service to the Town of Parish Highway Dept. 1982 – 2009 Including 20 years as Highway Superintendent.At the regular Parish Town Board meeting on Thursday, December 17 several people were recognized for their contributions and or years of service. Former Parish Town Supervisor’s William Scriber and Frank House joined Parish Town Supervisor Steve Stelmashuck in the presentation to Carl Dayger who served under all three. Health Department Will Hold Rabies Clinics in Parish and Scriba

Oswego County residents have two remaining opportunities to have their dogs and cats vaccinated against rabies this fall. The County Health Department will hold rabies clinics from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, at the County Highway Garage, on Dill Pickle Alley, Parish, and Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the County Highway Garage on Route 104 East, Scriba.

Police Searching For Missing Parish Teen

State Police in Hastings are attempting to locate a Missing 15 year-old female from the Village of Parish.

Kristen Rae Bates is described as 5’6″ tall, 150 lbs., with dirty blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a small scar on her right chin bone. Kristen was last seen on July 17,2009 at approximately 8:30am at her residence on Ryder Avenue in the Village of Parish, Oswego County.

Information from interviews is that she may be somewhere in the Liverpool area.

If anyone has information on her location is asked to contact State Police in Hastings at (315) 668-2496.

Parish Seniors Enjoy “Christmas In July”

The Parish Senior Dining and Activity Center was filled with the glitter and magic of the Christmas season on Monday, July 27, for the second annual “Christmas in July” celebration. The site was beautifully decorated. Eleanor Jacobson and Julie Raner enjoyed playing Christmas carols for the twenty or so guests. There was a fun, but confusing, gift exchange game. All enjoyed the many Christmas goodies.
