It’s Not Too Late To Save Oswego River
On June 10, in a vote of 13 to 12, members of our county legislature voted down the funding for the eradicating and control of the invasive Chinese water chestnut from the Oswego River. There are more than 200 acres of the water chestnut covering the river in rugs like mats. Every year that the chestnuts go untreated, their numbers and locations proliferate exponentially. This is a serious, present problem.

River Searched After Fishing Gear Is Found Near Water
A precautionary search of the Oswego River was conducted Thursday morning after abandoned fishing gear was found near the river’s edge in the city of Fulton.
