Oswego Salvation Army Dedicates New Citadel

Major Corinne Hayes welcomes everyone to the dedication ceremony.  Seated in front are Captain Kenneth Hayes and Barb Bateman of the  Salvation Army’s advisory board. Seated on stage next to Major Hayes is  Salvation Army commissioner (territorial commander) Lawrence R. Moretz.

The Oswego Salvation Army dedicated its new home on Sunday afternoon. Captain Kenneth Hayes and Major Corinne Hayes welcomed huge crowd to the newly renovated Oswego Salvation Army, 73 W. Second St. Approximately 100 people took part in the building dedication ceremony, worship service and tours of the new facility.

The Oswego Salvation Army will welcome back Jason Livesey of Rudy’s Lakeside to a special Guest Chef dinner at the American Foundry. The event will take place March 3 from 4:30-6:30 p.m., according to Major Corinne Hayes of the Oswego Chapter of the Salvation Army.

Oswego Salvation Army Searching For More Bellringers

With the Red Kettle campaign well under way, the search for bellringers is still a priority for The Salvation Army of Oswego. There are still a large number of kettle slots that need bellringers for weekdays, evenings and Saturdays. Of critical need are bellringers the Friday and Saturday after Thanksgiving.
