Fitzhugh Second Graders ‘Cuddle Up And Read’
As the holiday break approached second graders at the Fitzhugh Park Elementary School enjoyed a day to “cuddle up and read.”

Students donated a quarter to the “Habitat for Humanity” project and as a result received the opportunity to wear pajamas in school on the final day before the holiday recess.

Students from around the county visited KPS to read holiday letters to kindergarteners. The elementary students shared their Christmas wish lists, sang a few songs, promised to be good and leave some treats out for Santa and his reindeer.

Selected members of the Trinity Catholic Elementary School Band performed holiday music at the recent children’s tree lighting ceremony at City Hall.

Mentees and Mentors in the Fulton School Mentoring program recently designed Thanksgiving cards and placemats for Oswego County Opportunities’ Senior Nutrition Services.
Once again the Oswego High School Buccaneer Bulletin newspaper earned “All New York Gold Overall Newspaper” at the annual 2010 Empire State School Press Association Awards ceremony.
Leah Mullen, a fifth grader at Minetto Elementary, and William Bandla, a sixth grader at Kingsford Park Elementary, won top honors.
Numerous concerts are scheduled in the upcoming weeks with the first concert slated for Nov. 30 when the Kingsford Park Elementary School band, choral and strings will be in concert at the Oswego Ralph M. Faust Theatre for the Performing Arts at 7 p.m.
Construction and renovation has recently commenced and work will be under way in and around the building for the next several months.

Judi Knopp of Human Concerns accepted a generous donation from the Oswego City School District CSEA organization.
