Two individuals have been charged in connection with two of the four recent bomb threats at OMS and OHS; one of them a district staff member. “Students sometimes don’t understand the (full impact) of the choices that they make. To have this happen by a staff member … sent tremors through my body,” the superintendent said.

BREAKING NEWS: The two have been arrested in connection with two of the four recent bomb threats at Oswego middle and high school. Authorities believe they acted separately. They are still seeking suspects in the other two threats.

Mimi’s Serves Up Spelling Bee Championship
Mimi’s Drive-In won the 10th annual Trinity Catholic School Corporate Spelling Bee. The friendly competition helps support Oswego County’s only Catholic school. Eleven three-member teams took part in the fund-raiser, which featured some of the hardest words in its history.

OHS Drama Club Sets Cast For “The Phantom Tollbooth”
Oswego High Drama Club has held their auditions and announced the cast for their exciting fall production “The Phantom Tollbooth.†Thirty-four talented students will be taking the stage for rehearsals for the next two months and performing the children’s play in November.

Oswego students and parents will have a unique opportunity on Oct. 19 as “Rachel’s Challenge†will come to Oswego. This program is based on the inspiring and courageous story of Rachel Scott, the first person killed at Columbine High School.

Authorities are continuing to investigate two bomb scares at Oswego schools. Last week, there was a threat at Oswego Middle School. On Tuesday, the high school as well as the middle school was disrupted by bomb threats.
