Nine Arrested at Field Days in Hannibal, Williamstown

Police arrested nine people over the weekend at the county’s two volunteer firemens’ field days.  In one instance, police had to use pepper spray to break up a fight.  In another, a man threatened to kill a police officer and burn down his house, according to police.

Fatal Crash In Williamstown Lands Pulaski Man In Jail

A Pulaski man is in jail today, charged in connection with the accident that killed another man Sunday.

The crash happened at about 8:35 p.m. along State Route 183 at the intersection with Sol Davis Rd. in Williamstown.

Residents of the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District began receiving their School Tax bills in the mail recently and as was anticipated and communicated to residents, there was a noteworthy increase in taxes. However, the 2008 tax bills for residents in the district were incorrect.
