Fulton Grad’s Goal Gives Oswego State Women Another Win
Michelle Bateman’s superior rookie college season continues. The Fulton grad scored the only goal in Oswego State’s 1-0 win over Plattsburgh Friday. Bateman’s far and away the team scoring leader, with 12 goals in 11 games, including Friday’s game winner.
Freshman Michelle Bateman (Fulton, N.Y.) tallied goals in the 10th and 73rd minute, her eight goals marking the highest single-season total since 2005 when current assistant coach Maureen Kasperek scored 13 goals.
The Oswego State cross country team turned in strong performances at its own meet with a third place finish by the men’s squad and a fourth place finish by the women’s squad on Saturday.
