Chamber wants to reverse the Independence Day Parade’s route so that it ends at Fort Ontario this year in keeping with the theme “Back In Time.” The full council will also consider resolutions regarding Pumpkin Fest, the farmers’ market, an Oswego triathlon and the Fulton Jazz Fest.
One of the highlights of last year’s Jazz Fest, the legendary jazz guitarist, Melvin Sparks, the originator of soul jazz, old school acid jazz, and barbecue funk jazz, will return to ignite Fulton’s Jazz Fest with another electrifying performance on Aug. 14.

Jazz Fest, one of the premier events of the summer, returns for an encore performance on Aug. 13 and 14 on the shores of Lake Neatahwanta.
The Oswego High School Jazz Ensemble and the Mexico Brass will be a part of Oswego’s Independence Day Celebration as they perform a patriotic concert in Breitbeck Park on July 4.
