Lee White Marine Museum is pleased to announce a three-part mini lecture series on the topic of the “Lighthouses of Oswego,” featuring Ted Panayotoff, lighthouse historian and city of Oswego Lighthouse Committee chair who will discuss the various lights, the lighthouse keepers and related topics.
Pickup Truck Sought For Parade Float
The City of Oswego Lighthouse Committee has a large replica model of the lighthouse that they would like to have participate in this Sunday’s Independence Day Parade. They need a clean pickup truck that can accommodate a 4′ x 4′ x 4′ model of the lighthouse and a few people.

This afternoon (July 14), Chief Warrant Officer 2 Ursula W. Walther, of the US Coast Guard station, presented Mayor Randy Bateman with the key to the historic landmark. After several years of waiting, city officials took ownership of the lighthouse.
