Port Of Oswego Achieves Shipping Record In 2022, Reestablishes Itself As Upstate Commerce Force

With a record year in 2022, the Port of Oswego Authority ( POA), staked its’ claim as a dominant force in maritime commerce for Central New York, the Great Lakes, and the world. Shipping alone was up over 300% compared to 2021 , said William, Scriber, POA executive director.  Recently, the Port received the U.S. Dept. of Transportation designation as a USDOT Marine Highway, one of only 32 in the United States.

Port Of Oswego, U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers To Sign Historic $600,000 Oswego Harbor Deepening Project Agreement

On Sept. 13, the Port of Oswego Authority (POA), and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), will sign a historic $600,000 agreement to deepen the port’s harbor, transform its capabilities and ignite new growth, according to William Scriber, executive director.

Port Of Oswego Awards Building Contract For $2.1 Million New Goble Dry Dock Marina

The Port of Oswego Authority (POA), recently awarded a construction contract to W.D. Malone Trucking & Excavating Inc. of Oswego to build its new $2.1 million deep-water marina on the site of the former Goble Dry Dock and Shipyard, adjacent to the Port’s West Pier, according to William Scriber, POA executive director and CEO.

State Supreme Court Justice Gilbert Issues Decision In City Of Oswego Lawsuit Against Port Authority

New York State Supreme Court Justice Gregory R. Gilbert issued a decision today annulling the motion approved by Port of Oswego Authority’s Board of Directors during a meeting last December, which authorized the reconfiguration and construction of the Dome 4 grain storage structure that obscures the view of the Oswego Lighthouse.
