Judge Delays Tanner’s Sentencing

Sentencing has been postponed once again in the case against the former director of the Fulton Public Library. Rebekah Tanner appeared in court Wednesday, where Fulton City Court Judge Spencer Ludington adjourned her case because Tanner’s restitution to the library was not paid in full. It is the third time sentencing has been delayed since Tanner pleaded guilty to petit larceny in May.

Guppy Waives To County Court

The case against a Fulton teenager who was arrested after allegedly causing serious injuries to his 18-month-old daughter will see its next days in a grand jury room. Robby J. Guppy, 17, of 604 E. Broadway, upstairs apartment, was slated to appear in Fulton City Court Wednesday. Instead, his attorney waived the charges to Oswego County Court. Guppy has been free on bail since Aug. 18.

It’s the time of year to return to the woodland and join its spirits in a Halloween celebration.  Nature’s Halloween Unspooked will be held at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center on Sunday, October 26, 2007 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Creatures of all ages will delight in the afternoon of free, fun for the whole family activities

Mapping Linguistics Exhibition On Display At SUNY Oswego’s Metro Center

SUNY Oswego’s Metro Center recently opened another of its fall exhibitions, Mapping Linguistics, Revisited, featuring recent work by Kelly Roe. The public is invited to a reception to meet the artist and enjoy refreshments on Thursday, October 16 from 5:00 – 8:00 pm. Roe will be available to talk with interested people about the work.

St. Stephen’s to Host Informational Series for Parents with Teens

Presented by the Strong Families Safe Kids Parent Aide Program at Catholic Charities of Oswego County the series entitled Connecting with Kids for Parents, will consist of four two hour presentations designed specifically to help parents develop a better understanding of the pressures and stresses that middle school and high school students’ experience.
