The fourth annual Run For Dennis 5k Run/Walk is scheduled for 10 a.m., March 14 to honor the memory of Oswego resident Dennis Pacheco (5/28/59-3/17/11), a victim of bladder cancer, it was announced by Jessica Newson, race director and Pacheco’s daughter.

The Oswego High School winter guard program will kick off its 2015 competitive season at Mexico High School on January 31. The junior varsity guard, competing in the Scholastic Regional A class of the Mid-York Color Guard Circuit, will perform their 2015 program “British Invasion,” which features the music of The Beatles and One Direction.
These demonstrations are all part of “Taste the Commons,” where Warm Up visitors will find family fun with everything from art, floral and essential oils demos and beer, wine, cheese, cookie and chocolate tastings to live music and a putt putt green.
The Oswego County Emergency Management Office announces that the system of emergency notification sirens surrounding the three nuclear power plants at Nine Mile Point will be tested during the week of Feb. 2 through 6 between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. The test is a portion of the regular testing program of the Oswego County emergency alert system. The public is not required to take protective action during the siren tests.
Quirk’s Players of G. Ray Bodley High School is proud to announce that it will present the fun Broadway musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Performances are scheduled for March 5, 6 and 7 in the Bodley H.S. Auditorium. Curtain time is set for 7:30 each evening. Additionally there will be a 2 p.m. matinee on March 7. Tickets will be available at the door.
The Oswego Lions Club presents “Roar with Laughter” staring Vinnie Mark and Mike Speirs, January 30 at The American Foundry, 246 W. Seneca St. Doors will open at 7 p.m.; show begins at 8 p.m.
