Camp Hollis and RSVP To Host Two-Day Camping Event

The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), a division of SUNY Oswego’s Office of Business and Community Relations in collaboration with the Camp Hollis Senior Camping program will host a two-day camping event on June 13 and 14. Offered each June and September, people ages 50-plus can enjoy Camp Hollis and a variety of activities.

Meet the Candidates: Fulton Board of Education Election 2016

Two seats are up for grabs on the Fulton City School District Board of Education at this year’s budget vote scheduled for Tuesday, May 17. There are three candidates running to fill the two open seats that become available when the current terms of board members Christine Plath and David Carvey expire at the end of this school year. While Christine Plath did not seek reelection, David Carvey is running for reelection along with newcomers Paula Hayden and Lynn Lyons, of which the two candidates with the most votes will each serve a three year term. Oswego County Today asked the candidates a few questions to get some inside information on their campaign, their results will appear in the order that the candidates will appear on the ballot.

Sandra Scott Travels: Enjoy A Tour Of Downtown Manhattan

Visiting NYC can be costly so I welcome any way to save money. Hotels are especially expensive, but luckily we had points that allowed us to stay at the Holiday Inn Express Wall Street for free. The hotel had a great location but the rooms are small – very small. From the hotel we walked to South Street Seaport’s TKTS kiosk for half-price Broadway show tickets (the line is shorter than at the Times Square TKTS kiosk).
