Amboy 4-H Continues Snowshoe Programs into March
If you missed February’s Woodland Snowshoe Wanders at the Amboy 4-H Environmental Education Center, they will offer the program again on March 6 at 2 p.m.

As part of a project-based learning activity for the English Language Arts and Health curriculums, students recently completed posters with heart facts, signs and symptoms of heart disease and helpful hints to improve heart health.
The Strengthening Families Program will start again on March 3 at the Fulton Junior High. Families with children ages 7-17, meet weekly through May 19 from 5:30 – 7 p.m., with a light supper provided at the beginning of each session.
Lucille M. O’Connor, 86, of Oswego, passed away on Sunday February 21, 2016, at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse, surrounded by her loving daughters and family members.

Pulaski High School Senior Mariah Lacour has shown that perseverance pays off. After she fell behind in classwork and received failing grades during her junior year at school due to increased anxiety, the Pulaski Academy & Central School District approved her transfer to the Academic Center.
Mark E. DeSilva, 56, of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday February 20, 2016, at Oswego Hospital.
Members of the Operations and Maintenance departments from all nine Oswego County school districts, as well as from the Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation, recently took part in the annual School Facilities Association Seminar and Trade Show held at Mexico Middle School.
Two high schools from Oswego County traveled to Rochester on Saturday (Feb 20) to compete in the Winter Guard International Regional Competition at Gates Chili High School. At the WGI Regionals, Central Square High School (Varsity) and Oswego High School (Varsity) competed in the Scholastic A class, a group of 15 total schools from all over New York and one school from New Jersey. Both teams qualified for the finals after a prelim score of 70.080 placed Oswego in fifth place and a score of 72.110 placed Central Square in third place, missing second place by only two-tenths of a point.
John R. Caruso Sr., 91, of Fulton, died Saturday February 20, 2016, in Michaud Residential Health Services, Fulton.
