Commercial Fire Shuts Down State Route 481 in Fulton

Crews are on scene battling a commercial fire at the Prime Auto used car dealership in Fulton at 807 South First Street. Located at the southern entrance to the city, State Route 481 has been shut down to all traffic in the area. Local police are on scene detouring vehicles off of State Route 481 at the southern entrance to the city and around the fire from the north end on Fay Street. Travelers are advised to avoid the area.

Oswego Fire Department personnel were called to a multiple-story building at 131 W. First St. at 6:42 p.m. Monday with reports of smoke filling an apartment. Crews were first alerted to smoke in an apartment on the 6th floor, ultimately locating a fire in an occupied apartment on the first floor.
